I styled the Agnes top with a DIY “camo” jersey skirt! You can find that fabric, here. This pattern is extremely versatile and can be styled up or down depending on your fabric choice and your mood! Paired with the skirt this makes a great “date” look, change out the skirt for some jeans/flats and you can easily head to the grocery store! See what I mean? Versatile! 🙂

Pattern review and photos below! I’ll be posting my October Sewing Plans video soon so stay tuned for that! I hope you all have a wonderful day! See you soon! 🙂
Pattern Description: Agnes is a close-fitting jersey top, speedy to sew and simple to fit, finished with a narrow band at the neckline. Choose from long or cropped sleeves; plain or ruched sleeves; scoop neckline or ruched sweetheart neckline – eight possible combinations. Irresistibly wearable and endlessly versatile, Agnes is destined to become a wardrobe staple that you’ll make again and again! Tilly and The Buttons -Agnes Top.
Pattern Sizing: 1-8, I cut size 2.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes 🙂
Were the instructions easy to follow? Probably the best instructions I’ve come across from an independent pattern company, she really put in the extra work to make sure the purchaser would understand the construction process and that is awesome! A+!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Definitely a top staple wardrobe piece!
Fabric Used: Jersey
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I left the edges of my sleeves and hem raw, I have been liking the look of raw edges on knit fabrics lately & most RTW clothes I’ve seen have been this way as well! Not sure if it’s “trending” but I liked the look and bit of time I saved from not hemming this! So it worked for me!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Most definitely to both! You will get good use out of this pattern! This also makes a great gift making item in my opinion, it’s a pretty quick make! 🙂

Lovely! Tilly’s Agnes top is the first too I made as a beginner. Question, did you curve the front hem or is it just tucked into your skirt?
Thank you! This is for sure the perfect beginner pattern using knits! I didn’t modify the pattern at all, this is worn tucked into the from of my skirt. If you wanted a curved hem that would be a cute modification! 🙂
