| PATTERN DETAILS |
PATTERN #1: (View B) McCall’s 8218
SIZING: 6 – 14, I cut size 8.
FABRIC: TELIO BALI – ITY STRETCH KNIT
SEWING: The armholes and neckline are finished with the bodice overlay which falls into the tie front. If you’ve never sewing an overlay it can be a bit confusing at first. It reminds me of this dress I made in the early days of my blog PRINT MAXI DRESS. It’s actually one of my favorite makes! 💃🏽
CONCLUSION: You all know I love a good jumpsuit and this one is great! So simple and chic. It would be a fun hack to draft the front ties larger for more drama and interest. Although the subtle look works too! 🙂 If I sew this one again I’ll choose a solid fabric, similar to the model cover, to make the beautiful details a bit more obvious.
