Hello Beauties! I hope the week is treating you all nicely so far! I’ve been wondering what to share with you all for this Friday. The past two Friday’s I’ve shared DIY Tutorials, check them out here, here if you missed. This Friday I want to do something a little different let me know in the comments if you would like me to start a Learn to Sew Series: It would be a four part post every Friday where I introduce you to the basics of sewing. OR would you like to know more about myself, work space, how I got started sewing. etc. Throw me some ideas! 🙂
Today’s post however is this WONDERFUL long dress I made using another Vogue Pattern! Okay, so I’ve been on a bit of a Vogue trip lately, I can’t help it they’re great! 😉 It’s part of their new Summer Collection although the fabric I choose isn’t all that summer like, I LOVE it. Take Patterns and make them your own that’s what it’s all about! 🙂 Pattern Review below! I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend. Remember to always be inspired and make life awesome! Love you all! XOXO.

Gorgeous! I absolutely love your style! This dress is a definite winner! I know you didn’t list this as one of the options for a future post, but I would love to see a series on fitting yourself.
Thank you so much Nkechi, what a nice compliment! 🙂 I appreciate your request for a series on fitting myself! I’d love to do one, I must say though I am fairly new to sewing, I started in 2014. I know a lot of seamstresses have the knowledge of fit adjustments but the only fitting I’ve really had to do with commercial patterns is taper in some width on skirts, pants, etc. I’m afraid it wouldn’t be much of a series as I’ve hadn’t really made many adjustments! When I choose the size of patterns I go with the closest to my true measurements and compare that to the “Finished Garment Measurement’s” on the actual pattern piece. I do not go with the back of the envelope size size chart, I find this is best for me. I hope that helps a bit!
