Hi BEAUTIES! Happy Friday! This week flew by! Well, basically the entire year has zoomed by! I can’t believe it’s almost time for pumpkins, fall leaves and sweater weather! This is the time of year that we all seem to love & for good reason 🙂 Last year I missed out on a lot of fall sewing so I’m very excited to learn new sewing methods this year for coats and ALL things cozy. Where I live it’s pretty much unknown if we’ll actually get cold weather for as much time as I’d wish we would but either way I WILL sew for cold weather this year. 😉
On to the SKIRT! The fabric is from The Loft in LA and was part of my reasonably priced fabric haul from the conference I attended in July. I was drawn to the fun print and color scheme of this fabric regardless of it being see-through, I cut double of my pattern pieces and just basted them together before sewing. Otherwise you’d see right through this thing and that would be a whole different type of blog. Lol. I was trying to go for a high-low “rounded” hem type of look and this is my “tester” if you will. I will make a few changes if I plan to make the skirt again.
What are your sewing plans this fall? I’d love any pattern suggestions you might have. Although I have many, a few more added to my list couldn’t hurt – if we could just sew as fast as we can buy patterns, lol. 😉 I hope you enjoy the post and have a wonderful weekend! XO – Rosy
