Hi BEAUTIES! Happy Monday! 🙂 I hope you had a fabulous weekend. Thank you to everyone who watched and loved my Sew-Along VIDEO from last week! You ladies Rock! Click HERE to see that entire post, in case you missed. 😉 Today’s look is a quick one using a new McCall’s pattern. I lost my sew-jo for what felt like a few months and this gorgeous designer knit from LA FINCH FABRICS really got things into gear again! I was so grateful when Josie, the owner of Finch Fabrics, reached out to me to review some of her fabrics. She really is SO sweet and the fabrics I’ve worked with have been amazing! Thanks again Josie! Hopefully we can include a giveaway soon on the blog! 😉 Pattern Review and style photos for today’s look below! Enjoy! – XO Rosy.

Pattern Review
Pattern Description:Â Close fitting dresses have neckline and sleeve variations. – MCCALL’S 7621
Pattern Sizing:Â XSM-SML-MED-LRG-XLG
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Similar, I added length.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the chocker neck design. I do wish they had a basic sleeve option also included with the pattern.
Fabric Used: RILEY BLAKE KNIT from LA FINCH FABRICS.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added length for a maxi dress.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I may sew again in a solid with more added length. I would recommend if you enjoy the neck detail and cold shoulder trend.

Hi I’m currently trying to sew this and I am having trouble with the v neckline and was wondering if you could help me. I’m following the instructions but when it comes to turning it doesn’t come out the way it’s supposed to.
Hi Rosy, the Choker neck dress looks great on you, are there any pictures of the back would love to see how the choker style lines are incorporated with the back of the dress. Glad to hear that you got your sew-jo back I think we all go through the valley of sleeping sew-jo it gives us a time to refresh.
Have blessed week,
JL
Hi Jerilynn, Thank you! Sadly I didn’t get any photos of the back but I will try incorporate more angles in future posts. The best way I can describe the choker attaching to the dress is similar to a pussy bow being attached to the neck of a blouse. Very similar construction, I hope that helps! Have a wonderful weekend. – XO Rosy
