Hi BEAUTIES! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! 🙂 It’s getting warmer here in Texas and I’m not looking forward to the humidity we’re going to have but luckily there are breezy jumpsuit patterns such as this, that I can pull out during sunny beach days. I mentioned wanting to make this in my April plans VIDEO and I can’t wait to talk more about it later.

The pattern was super quick to whip up and it worked great with this lightweight fabric, you can find similar fabric options HERE. Today’s post is short and sweet but I hope you enjoy it and have a fabulous day! XO.

Pattern Description: Close-fitting through the bodice romper and jumpsuit have halter neckline that ties at back of neck and length variations. – VOGUE 9259
Pattern Sizing: 6-14, I cut a size 10.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love a good jumpsuit. The wrap around the neck is a nice feature and I like the low back as well. Also the wide pant leg and pleats, I basically love it all! Perfect vacation outfit! 🙂
Fabric Used: Challis, similar HERE, HERE, HERE. Remember to sign up and use EBATES to save 3%!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. I did however wear the neck ties in a different way than the pattern envelope. Also I do hear there are potential gaping issues at the sides of the bodice wrap, I experienced some but not enough to concern me. I tied the wrap tighter to help with this. You could make a muslin to test the bodice on yourself first.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I would totally sew this again, and recommend it for my jumpsuit lovers out there.

hey Rosy great job, I discovered you today on YouTube an watched about all your vids. I have been teaching myself to sew through YT and started taking courses through crafsty and mimi g academy. Would you come up with sewing classes in texas or would you do more in depth online sewing vids on YT?
Hi! I’m so glad you found me! 🙂 That’s great you’re teaching yourself to sew and I can definitely do more beginner friendly sewing vids on YouTube! Any specific requests or would you just like a breakdown on all the basics? Thanks XO
Awesome jumpsuit! Can’t wait to sew up my version 🙂
Thank you! You’re going to look Fab! XO
Also, I love your hair!
YESSSSS! SLAY US!!! you look amazing! perfect marriage of pattern and fabric!
So sweet girl! THANK YOU! XO
I also made this with challis (size 10, too) and I had major gaping issues with the bust area, specifically with the curve on the outer side of the two bodice pieces. Did you encounter any fit issues at all??
I’ve heard this issue from a few people. I noticed a bit of extra fabric at the sides as well, I managed to pull the ties a tighter to help with this though there is still some gaping visible. Next time I sew this I will shave off the extra fabric at the sides of the pattern where I have the gaping. I rarely make fit adjustments to patterns but hopefully this will help.
Very pretty! Did you change the bodice because the pattern looks like it crisscrosses then ties around neck. I like yours better.
Thank you! Great question, I did not make any changes to the bodice. I did wear the ties different from what the pattern envelope shows, thankfully it works both ways! XO
Can I purchase this?
You can purchase the pattern, there are links to it in the blog post.
This is one of the patterns I’m waiting to purchase! Love the fabric 😍
Awe, your going to love it! Yes the fabric was a must. I wanted to add more prints to my outfits and this fit right in! XO
