Hello BEAUTIES! Happy day before Christmas Eve! I’m wishing you all love and happiness this Holiday Season! 🙂 I thought I would leave you this year with a Christmas inspired Velvet dress! I struggled with figuring out what to sew with this gorgeous stretch velvet and settled on sewing two trends in one! Velvet has obviously been trending this winter and the cold shoulder seems as its here to stay, at least for a while! I get asked a lot what my thought process is when it comes to planning projects and truth is sometimes it’s easier than others and I usually just have to “pull the trigger” and go for it. I’ll either end up loving the result or hating it! Both scenarios I can always say I learned something from the process and to me thats whats important. I encourage you to try new things, learn new things and never stop learning! Happy Holidays everyone! Much love from my family to yours! Enjoy the Post! XOXO

Pattern Review
Pattern Description: Misses’ Sleeveless Dresses – Butterick 6048
Pattern Sizing: 8-16, I cut size 8.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Similar.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wish the pattern had more sleeve variations included, although they do have a few overlay options.
Fabric Used: Hunter Green Stretch Velvet from Fabric.com
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I took in an inch or so around the hips, I wanted the upper portion to be a tad looser and taper in at the hips. ( I did take out too much hence the pull lines). Also I lengthened the sleeve version of View C.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I think I got my fill of this pattern. It’s a simple sew if you want to try the cold shoulder trend.
