Hi BEAUTIES! Happy Friday! Woohoo! 🙂 I have quite a few looks that I’m behind on taking blog pictures for but rather than leave no post today I figured I would pull out this look from the “archives”. Basically I took these pictures summer of last year and for whatever reason they just never made it to the blog (I kind of miss the hair). The pattern is MCCALLS 7394, a super cute jumpsuit/romper pattern. Fun fact about this romper it was was actually going to be the jumpsuit version, (haha, gee what do you know) but it was my first ever attempt at a welt pocket. Pretty much, I haven’t tried another welt pocket since then. LOL. Luckily I had enough fabric left to complete the shorts version of the pattern. 😉

Thank you for the comments on my ruffled jumpsuit POST from Wednesday, I’m definitely going to try to get together a tutorial for how I made the outfit! There’s so much to do lately and I love it. I’m coming up on one year of blogging next month and I’ve learned so much about sewing, blogging and myself. I been reflecting on why I started the blog and may have a rant post about it soon, rant meaning I might go deep. Currently throughout this journey I am the most grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the sewing MAGAZINE that is coming soon! If you haven’t signed up for SEW SEW DEF make sure you do, it’s going to be a lot of fun for the sewing community! Also, check the contributors tab to read up on all the ladies taking part. We will be providing monthly content. 🙂 Have a great weekend, Enjoy the post and pattern review! XO
Pattern Description: Misses’/Miss Petite Pleated, Drop-Waist Romper and Jumpsuits – MCCALL’S 7394
Pattern Sizing: 6 – 14, I cut a size 8.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, they were great. I think I rushed it on the welt pocket and probably should have chosen a less slippery fabric.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the drop waist, pockets and pleating detail on the shorts. Although the pleats do get lost when you use a busy fabric I think it would look so great in a solid to show them off.
Fabric Used: BOHEMIAN CREPE DE CHINE I hauled it in a blog post, HERE.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I want to come back for the jumpsuit version eventually although I probably will leave out the welt pockets. I do recommend the pattern.

Hey there! I don’t recall the bodice darts being tricky. Have you sewn a dart before this? Let me know if you still need help! XO
I have this pattern laid out in front of me and I’ve done all the front bodice darts but I was wondering how you did the back bodice darts. Never seen this kind before. Any help would be appreciated.
